Indian chess champion Grand Master Viswanathan Anand successfully defended his crown by defeating Bulgarian challenger Vesselin Topalov in the World Chess Championship 2010. Anand played with the black pieces and won in the 56th move, with an aggregate score of 6.5 – 5.5 points.
